A Bit About Me
I am passionate about fighting for individuals with disabilities. As a Hospital Corpsman in the U.S. Navy, I treated sick and injured Sailors and Marines. In law school, I advocated for maintaining the personal autonomy of individuals with disabilities when I authored the law review article entitled "Asperger's Disorder, High-Functioning Autism, and Guardianship in Ohio." When I worked for the Social Security Administration, I reviewed and wrote hearing decisions on disability claims. That work allowed me to utilize my medical and disability law knowledge, but it did not allow me to advocate. In 2013, I left the SSA and started my own firm so that I could use my skills to fight for the disadvantaged.
I have served in the military in both enlisted and officer positions, in the U.S. Navy, Ohio Army National Guard, and U.S. Army Reserves. I have also served as a prosecutor, during which time I successfully argued several cases in front of Ohio's appellate courts, including The Supreme Court of Ohio. I reside in Ohio with my beautiful family, wife, two children and a dog named "Doc." We frequently visit the Allegheny Mountains to hike and occasionally float down the river.
